Drive Traffic to your Site

Traffic is the life blood of any site, what is the point if you have a site and no one come to visit, no one knew of the web pages. All your effort and hours had been waste. So traffic is the essence to any web survival. Now how do we get traffic? Well that’s where keyword you have previously research come into play. From the list of keywords you have found base on your research you write some quality content focusing solely on those terms and phrase.
Now true that you have the web up, registered with some major Search Engine, that alone won’t make the site rank well. We need to make our website earn credibility, and this will be achieved in several ways: get traffics through back links and articles to post on forums like: e.g.:ezinearticles.com

Ezinearticles.com can be descript as articles market place or portal and this site can generate you lots and lots of traffic back to your web base on the quality of article you write/ post and the niche you selected. The more articles you write to promote your products / niche you have on your site (quality articles) the more traffic you will get. So go and get yourself an account with ezinearticles.com this will give you the basic account meaning you are only allow to submit 10 articles which then the board will review your work (take about 2 weeks for free members) and if you have good quality work they will promote you to Basic plus or you can jump the queue and become a premium member for about $100 a month which give you lots of paid members benefits like in any memberships you join (like review your articles and release within few hours).
Some other ways to get free traffics or web exposed are:

Forum – where you discuss and debate on the niche you select.
Social Network – Facebook or Twitter.
But the best traffic I find is PPC traffic (Pay Per Click) which basically you place an ads through Search Engines and when people click on your ads you paid a fee to your Search Engines where you place the ads with, hence the fee vary pending on the keyword you choose and you only paid if people click on your ads. PPC is a very powerful tool to get traffic and target traffic, though it can do you much good and harm and eat your profit down to nothing without you making a cent. So unless you are sure and confidents of what your aims are, stay with free traffic through forum, social network and eziarticle.com

Keyword Research:

I know preciously I have already touch base on this topic, Hence I want to cover a bit more ground, because this is the essence to drive traffic to your webpage, think about it, traffic is the life blood of any success webpage.

One tool which I am going through is Google keyword tool (Google Adwords). Why used Google Adwords? Well it’s simple… IT’S FREE. Now if you don’t have an account yet, please create an account at: www.google.com/adwords

When performing the keywords research, you need to identify the long tail keywords (keyword which are three words or more) e.g.: “Make Money” this keyword for example will be much too great and competitive and generic, Now if you try something like “make money from home” This will be specific and that’s what we want to focus on. The idea behind this is if we are going for a generic keyword e.g.: 1 or 2 words it’s too generics and too competition, chance is your site will never be seen. Now with long tail keyword, this will narrow down to e.g.: sub niche which is less competition meaning your site will have a much better chance to rank highly in Search Engines like Google.

The good thing about Google Keyword tools allow you to see is the monthly performance search on local and global, average CPC, advertiser Competition and a few other information. What we are looking here is to select for any keyword that return 500 – 1000 result per month; hence anything more then it’s no good as it’s too competitive.

Creating a Website:

Back in the early day of internet, created a website was very intimidating. Now a day getting your site up is easy as 123, that’s because there’s many free content management which pretty much do all the hard and nerdy stuff for us already e.g.: blogger or Wordpress.

On this particular exercise, Wordpress would be the prefer option and you will find out why as it come. Wordpress it’s so easy to install and setup that you will have your website up and running in minutes. But also Wordpress have many benefits apart from it user friendly, Google seem to love Wordpress, which is really an advantage. Google tend to index a new site within hours where compare to other it make take weeks or month. Another point why Wordpress is so popular, it had many amazing plugging and themes which are mostly free that you can make site after site and it’s all unique. Now a day most of the hosting provider will have Wordpress freely available as part of their platform. And it‘s very easy to install and setup in your hosting. Therefore I am not going to into the details to explain how you can install this platform, it’s that simple.

Domain Names and Hosting:

This is the most important step, the 1st step toward launching your niche, is to sign up for a web hosting package and having your own domain name. Of cause there are many free hosting and domain provider out there to name a few e.g.: Wordpress.com or blogger.com which seems to be the most popular choice. But do have some restriction pending on what you want or expect e.g.: video streaming.

So in this path I recommended to have your own domain name (name that is relating to your niche / products) e.g.: www.myniche.com, funny enough people perception plays a very strong role, what I mean is if your niche is on present like: www.myniche.com compare to myniche.blogspot.com or myniche.Wordpress.com, people tend to trust more to buy your products on your domain name. And that is just our human perception.

But hey having your own domain name and wed hosting package is inexpensive now a day, the cost of hosting per month is anything between $2 - $5 will provided some excellent hosting size and bandwidth; Plus your domain registration for somewhere between $6 - $12 per year. There are many Domain registrar and Web Hosting providers out there. For me these seem to be best for values: HOSTGATOR.com and GODADDY.com both have well prices and offers excellent support.

Now choosing your domain name, that can be very time consuming as some of the name you think may already been taken / registered. So make sure you take your time to have a domain that fit for your niche or products, for example if you are promoting diets products then your domain will be something like topdietpills.com. You may try many different words before you can find a free vacant domain name for your products. But make sure it’s relate to your niche also another point when selecting your domain try to incorporate keywords in your domains when possible.

Google Trends:

Though there’s many niche research tool available free and paid. But one that you shouldn’t over look is the good old GOOGLE (google.com/trends) so what is this google.com/trends?
This is a section of Google where you can find of all the top and current search term on Google. This tool is so easy and straight forward that I am only to briefly skim through. As an example go to your google.com/trends now and somewhere at the bottom right of the page click on “More Hot Searches” this will take you to the top 20 hot search trends in Google at that moment (the result is life).
Please note the majority of the search terms are useless to you, but on the occasion pending on your niche or interest to your surprise a gem or 2 will pop up.
Look for hot topic (like “prvcy jeans”) or current events (like rent the runway) then just cross check the pick with Clickbank to see if products are available as a niche. As I say Google.com/trends don’t spend to much time on it but sometime it’s a good way to stumble onto your gem.

Clickbank

Clickbank is world best market place for affiliates, thousands used every day. Some sellers who write a product, but majorities are affiliates.
Clickbank is a marketplace which had a database listing of every products that is available for affiliates to promotes . Like any market place this is a very good place to start your niche research.
Let’s look at the interface as recently click bank had made a face lift. 2 area we are interest in “ Category” box and “Sort by” box.

Ok what those term mean in the sort box: Popularity, % commission, Gravity, $ Earned / Sale, % Earned / Sale, Future $, Total $ Sale, % Referred. However for the purpose on this exercise, we only need to understand “popularity, Gravity and $ Earned / Sale.
- Popularity is define as the number of sales a product made over a period of time.
- Gravity is define as the numbers of affiliates that have earned a commission in selling the product in question.
- $ Earned / Sale – definition is straightforward earned per sale.
Now let select a niche for our training purple, and we going to sort out by gravity high, remember as I mention before when you as a start when selecting a niche, do select a niche that you have interest / your hobbies. First thing let’s type “mobiles phones in the “find product” box, or any other products or hobbies that may interest you, hence you will see tons of products in those area.

From the result, first step is to look at the gravity, as define before, gravity is the number of affiliates been commission from the chosen products. So what this really mean high gravity or low gravity? This really tell us the numbers whether or not there is an active market to used the products and if the market is saturated or not. If the gravity is very low, this would also mean that very few are making any money with the products. If the gravity too high mean too many other people are promoting this products therefore strong competition. So the best is selecting a niche that had gravity somewhere in the middle or average. Now that you understand niche searching, what’s next ...? I suggest you repeat this activity to search for a few more niche that truly interest you...
